A few years ago I was referred to Dr. Hoppmann since my rabbit was very ill. I live in Sumter and we don't have exotic animal specialists in town so I had been in contact w/ Dr. Hoppmann thru FB messenger as she gave me advice on what to do w/ my rabbit until I could bring him to her clinic. Unfortunately he did not make it so I ended up having to cancel the appt. I recently scheduled an appt for my new fur babies (dogs this time!) for their annual check-up and vaccines; the minute we were greeted by the vet assistants, I already knew that my dogs would be well taken care of. My labradoodle is very well behaved at home but is very reactive when in public so it was nice for once to have a veterinarian and vet assistants that were so patient with him without feeling judged as we had felt in the past at another clinic. I just want to say thank you so much Dr. Hoppmann and team for being understanding and generally just good people.

I gave 4 stars because we haven't visited this vet as of yet, however, we will. I love how nice the lady is who answers the phone, I don't feel rushed or pushed and I can appreciate that! I look forward to bringing my pets to this vet!

Dr. Emily Hoppman and the Elgin Vet staff are AMAZING! they took such good care of my rabbit, Juniper a few years ago.
