Return Policy for Food Purchased at Elgin Veterinary Hospital
Pets’ nutrition is one of the important pillars of their good health and ability to live a long, quality life. Elgin Veterinary Hospital loves the Hill’s/Science Diet food line – both the prescription and non-prescription food. Feeding a high-quality diet like Hill’s/Science Diet can help establish and maintain good health throughout life. However, the variety of prescription foods offered by Hill’s/Science Diet can also be a critical part of addressing health concerns and/or diseases that many of our pets encounter throughout their lives. The entire process of manufacturing pet food, from the quality of ingredients to the cleanliness of the facility, is paramount in having an outstanding product in the end. Therefore, in order to evaluate different food brands, I have gone to multiple of these various food plants unannounced so that I can observe the entire process for myself. My tour of multiple Hill’s/Science Diet food plants has always been a wonderful experience and I have very high standards when it comes to what food I will stand behind. I definitely stand behind Hill’s/Science Diet foods and, therefore, that is what Elgin Veterinary Hospital recommends and carries. However, we all know how picky our pets can be when it comes to food. I am happy to say that you do not have to worry about if your pet will or will not like the particular Hill’s/Science Diet food you purchase at Elgin Veterinary Hospital because if your pet does not like it, you can return it for a full refund. Simply bring back the bag and uneaten food or unopened cans to the clinic if your furry friend does not like that particular food. Also, the good news is that they do provide several flavors and presentations of their foods, so we can try another version risk free as well. The food industry spends millions of dollars on marketing with the goal of convincing people that their brand is superior brand, but these same companies often do not put the same effort into producing quality food. We are happy to help you find the best food for your pet at any stage in life and counsel you on how much you should be feeding to keep your pet at the healthiest weight. If we do not have the particular food you need or we recommend in stock, we are happy to order it for you and let you know when it comes in. Please just keep in mind when you are running low on food to give us enough time for us to order it and for it to arrive.
